REPORTS TO: Manager, Order ManagementPURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring
the flow of production through the complete production cycle for
all new business (pumps and assemblies). The planner/scheduler
provides timely planning and scheduling of demand orders for make
and purchased items in order to achieve both internal shipping
goals and customer on-time delivery. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SELF-PERFORMED:Schedules demand according to lead time or customer
requirement. Monitors production schedule for pump assembly orders
to support the production throughput.Works as a liaison between
Production Control, Assembly, Inventory, Project Team, Procurement
and Shipping to ensure on time order fulfillment. Monitors and
follow up on pump assembly orders in production queue and notify
team members of issues.Identifies material shortages for new
business orders and coordinates supply lines to fill as
needed.Schedules assembly of spare parts CBA orders based on
material and capacity availability.Receives and coordinates supply
inquires (make or purchased) for new business. Provides quotes for
pump assemblies for new business orders as requested.Provide backup
for Production scheduling members in their absence.Identify and
communicate any scheduling conflicts as they arise from delays from
manufacturing.Pursues continuing education and training related to
job requirements and GIW product knowledge.Coordinates with Project
planner about production schedule for project business.Prepares
monthly shipping goals and reviews current production load to
insure we meet established monthly internal shipping
goals.Continuously seek in process improvements.Participates in
weekly production assembly meeting for new business projects to
address production issues.Monitors OCM (Order change management) in
SAP and assigns to appropriate department to take action.Represents
production scheduling in cross-functional new business kick-off
meetings.Provides extensive support to the Manager of Order
Management.Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION:Minimum - Bachelor
degree in Business Management or equivalent from an accredited
four-year college; Master degree in business is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:Minimum -Five years of experience in
manufacturing or related environment.Knowledge of SAPKnowledge of
Synchrono is preferredSuperior organization and planning
skillsAttention to detail and accuracyExcellent problem-solving
skills and adaptabilityAbility to multi-task and work under
pressure in a fast paced environmentExcellent communication
skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, Excel,
