Position Summary An Engineering Technician is a key member of our Portable Traffic Data Collection division. Our Engineering technicians are responsible for performing all types of traffic studies including automated classification and volume counts using pneumatic tubes or non-intrusive video-based AI technology and turning movement counts using video systems. Each week, a technician will be required to install road tubes or camera systems at up to 50 different locations across their coverage area. This will require maintaining a stock of between 50 and 60 portable event recorders, maintaining a company-owned and insured vehicle, safely driving to and parking along the roadway, and installing equipment in or alongside the roadway. This is a physical job which requires you to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Safety is our top priority!
