JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician
DIVISION: Administration
SUPERVISOR: Director of Maintenance
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: Complete home repairs, including dry wall, minor plumbing, electrical, and painting in all assigned homes and day program locations. Also, implement a preventive maintenance program on sites and vehicles. Position is "on-call" 24/7.
EDUCATION OR TRAINING REQUIREMENT: High School diploma or equivalent. Vocational training preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 5-10 years multi-site maintenance. Sound working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical, as well as carpentry. Must have tools.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: N/A
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check NetFacilities daily and complete all assigned work orders within 10 days of receipt.
  • Logically prioritize work orders to address health and safety matters as first priority.
  • Remain on call to respond to emergencies 24/7, deploy to a home location as requested by Director of Maintenance.
  • Self-generate work orders when area of disrepair is observed.
  • Complete quarterly preventive maintenance review of all assigned group homes, day program and vehicles.
  • Communicate with Director of Maintenance related to all maintenance issues and emerging trends/problems.
  • Complete all work orders in a professional and craftsman like fashion.
  • Track all expenditures and receipts via accounting policies.
  • Communicate with maintenance vendors as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationship with individuals served families, co-workers, and community members.
  • Maintain objectivity in position to set appropriate limits while working with served.
  • Support those served in their personal growth and development, respecting cultural, ethnic, spiritual, and individual differences.
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures and Health Care Facility Regulation, and DBHDD policies Rules and Regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
