Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee and lead maintenance operations at our food chemical plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal functionality of all equipment and facilities while supporting operational goals and maintaining compliance with safety and food safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Direct maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and improvement initiatives, to ensure the seamless operation of equipment and facilities.Enforce and promote safety protocols, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety, food safety, and environmental standards. Implement and maintain procedures to meet regulatory requirements.Develop and manage the maintenance budget, overseeing expenditures, and optimizing resources to ensure cost-effective operations.Implement preventive maintenance programs and strategies to enhance equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and extend the life of machinery.Collaborate with external vendors for equipment and service procurement, negotiating contracts and ensuring the timely completion of maintenance projects.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicate regularly with stakeholders on maintenance status.Identify training needs for the maintenance team, facilitate skill development programs, and ensure that team members are well-equipped to handle their responsibilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or 10 years of Maintenance Management/Supervision in a chemical plant or a similar manufacturing facility.Experience: Eight (8) or more years of experience in a Maintenance Department management position for a chemical plant or similar manufacturing facility. Demonstrated skills and results in work order planning & scheduling, job execution, and budget management (portfolio of $5M to $10M).Preferred:Education: Engineering/Project Management Certificate or MBA is a plus.Experience: Sixteen (16) or more years of experience in a Maintenance Department management position for a chemical plant or similar manufacturing facility. Demonstrated skills and results in work order planning & scheduling, job execution, and budget management (portfolio of $5M to $15M).Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Professional engineering certification (PE).
