Job Title : Counter Sales Representative Reports to : Branch Manager FLSA Status : Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Counter Sales Representative will support walk-in customers with plumbing products, special orders, and will be responsible for processing transactions, maintaining counter inventory levels, and ensuring accurate product pick-up. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in identifying their plumbing needs. Provide product recommendations and technical assistance to customers based on their requirements. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system. Maintain a clean and organized showroom and ensure that all products are properly displayed. Stock shelves and replenish inventory as needed to ensure adequate product availability. Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person, and provide information regarding product pricing, availability, and specifications. Collaborate with the warehouse team to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely delivery. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new product launches, and pricing updates. Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, striving to achieve customer satisfaction. Assist with special promotions, events, and marketing initiatives as needed. Follow company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and cash handling guidelines. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and provide an exceptional shopping experience for customers. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in plumbing or sales is a plus. Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a plumbing or home improvement environment. Strong knowledge of plumbing products, including fixtures, pipes, fittings, and accessories. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers. Proficiency in using computerized point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work holidays as required. Physical Requirements: Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand or extended periods. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
